Chaos Upgrade is an additional upgrade system that allows you to push your stats and combat power even further. Chaos Upgrade is applicable to most of the accessories (Bracelets, Amulets, Earrings etc.) after converted with Chaos Converters. Also there are special Chaos Gear which doesn't need to be converted to be upgraded.
Chaos Upgrades offers high stat bonuses but it is as risky and costly as rewarding.
Chaos Upgrades have very low success chances especially on higher levels. Also, unlike normal upgrade, Chaos Upgrades has a chance to Destroy The Item upon fail.
Chaos Safeguards can prevent the item from getting destroyed or downgraded so it is advised to using them on every chaos upgrade if possible.
To make chaos upgrades, you will need:
Chaos Cores to make chaos upgrades.Chaos Converters to unlock chaos upgrades for normal accessories.(Earring, Bracelet, Amulet etc.)Chaos Safeguards to prevent destroying and downgrading of the item during chaos upgrades.Suggested locations to obtain Chaos Upgrade materials:
Chaos Cores
-Chloe Craft (Requires Chaos Core Fragments which can be obtained from Eternal Chaos Arena or Lucky Boxes)
Chaos Converters
-DP Shop
Chaos Safeguards
-DP Shop
Simply right click to converter and left click on the item you want to unlock Chaos Upgrades for. This will make the item Chaos Upgrade +1.
You can remove and store current Chaos Upgrade level of an item. You might want to do this if:
For this you will need Chaos Seal Stone which can be obtained from Cash Shop

Using Chaos Seal Stone on an item will reset its Chaos Upgrade to 0 and store the current upgrade in seal itself. You may use this seal on another item to transfer the Chaos Upgrade or you can sell the seal.
Chaos Upgrades are not transferrable in between gear types.
For example: You cannot transfer the Chaos Upgrade of an Arcana into a Belt. Chaos Upgrade type stated on seal and item type you want to apply the seal must match. You can find sealed Chaos Upgrade type on top of Chaos Seal's tooltip.
¶ Tips for Chaos Upgrading
-Chaos upgrades have very low success chances on higher levels so using dummy items to stack upgrade points will give you better chances for upgrading.
-Most of chaos items can be destroyed upon fail until checkpoints. So make sure you use safeguards to prevent this.
-When upgrading chaos items that have no safeguards (Rings, Brooches, and Epaulets), failing an upgrade can cause the item to revert to a lower level. For example, if a Ring fails to upgrade from +10 to +11, it will drop to +9 (which is a checkpoint for ring which means it can't go lower). In this case, you can transfer the item to a secondary character and re-upgrade it back to its pre-failure level. This way, you keep the upgrade points on your main character, allowing you to attempt the next upgrade again without spending points to recover from the downgrade.
-Chaos upgrades requires a lot of cores especially on high levels. To keep up with demand, Forsaken Cabal team made it easier to obtain Chaos Core Fragments by lowering the daily run limit and boosting the drops of Eternal Chaos Arena. We also added Lucky Boxes on last chests of dungeons which also can give Chaos Core Fragments. So it is advised to run ECA and short dungeons (Like DX, ADX) to obtain as many Chaos Core Fragments as possible.
